MINE in London
It has been a while, best part of a month, since I last blogged. This is why. I have been making this show which is on in London right now until October 28th. This is the stage show of the feature film I shot in May. Every now and then you make something really special and this is one of these shows, so if you are around please come and see it. Saw the show last night. wow. It packed a punch. The cruel, cramped darkness of the stage and the cold fear of its inhabitants, the relentless machine gunning action, shrouded in continuous dirty smoke, and played out in such a violent poetic language, was almost as intense for the audience as for the characters. My favourite moment; the young soldier squatting and straining on the lonely patch of grass, pants round ankles talking about shit, was so beautiful. How do you do it?
